Red Velvet Cake

Red Velvet Cake is a rich, moist, smooth, chocolatey mix that is deep red in colour.

Ingredients

  • 500g Red velvet cake mix
  • 135ml Water
  • 2 Eggs
  • 75ml Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees
  2. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl
  3. Mix on low speed for 1 minute
  4. Scrape down sides
  5. Mix on medium speed for 2 mins
  6. Scrape down sides
  7. Place in pre-greased cake tin and bake for approximately 30-40 minutes or until cooked through

Notes: This recipe is also suitable for bar cakes, round cakes and cupcakes.
